ITC, the Interpreters and Translator Cooperative, is an association of interpreters, translators and cultural/language mediators from Italy and many other countries. First set up in 2005, it can count on a network of over 2000 professional collaborators located throughout Italy. ITC has set up its own team of interpreters and mediators that have great experience in cultures, laws and traditions of the countries of origin of immigrants and asylum seekers that they can tap into when asked to handle jobs in social and institutional contexts.
The Cooperative can provide translation and interpreting services in the most widespread languages but also in rare languages and dialect, as well as sign language.
The ITC Cooperative has supplied translation and both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services for State Administrations, Territorial Commissions for Recognition of International Protection, Police head offices, Courts, health services, the Department of Civil Liberties and Immigration of the Italian Ministry of the Interior, the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, international organisations such as OIM (International Migration Organisation), CIR (Italian Refugee Council), FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), UNHCR (UN High Commissioner for Refugees),Save the Children and Caritas, public and private television stations, sports federations, universities and the Vatican as well as for conferences, trade fairs, congresses and seminars.
